What to do with the growth range
Re-weigh on the same scale every two to four weeks during rapid growth and compare the direction. Use the trend to plan portions, equipment and questions for routine veterinary visits.
When a calculator is not enough
A stalled or sudden weight change, poor appetite, repeated vomiting, diarrhea or reduced energy needs veterinary assessment. Parent size, breed mix, sex, nutrition and health can all shift the eventual adult weight.
